Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how icybreaky (social games & connection discovery) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use icybreaky.com.

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

  • Quiz content: names, questions, answers, and scores in quizzes you create or play.
  • Anonymous account ID: a technical ID from Firebase Anonymous Authentication used to create quizzes and save scores.
  • On-device records: localStorage data such as your “My quizzes” list in the browser.
  • Usage data: page views, events, and approximate location/device info via Google Analytics 4.
  • Ad data: Google AdSense cookies and ad IDs (when enabled / after consent where required).

We do not require you to create an account or provide an email. If you email us, we use your address only to reply.

3. How we use data

  • Creating, sharing, and showing quiz scores / leaderboards
  • Improving the service and fixing bugs
  • Traffic and product analytics (GA4)
  • Meeting applicable legal obligations
  • Showing consented ads (AdSense)

4. Third parties

We may work with:

  • Google Firebase / Firestore — storing quizzes and scores
  • Vercel — web hosting and delivery
  • Google Analytics 4 — usage analytics
  • Google AdSense — ads (when enabled)

Those providers have their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data.

5. Cookies

We may use cookies for analytics, ads, and core functionality. See the Cookie Policy for details.

6. Retention

Quiz and score data are kept as long as needed to run the service. We review reasonable deletion requests sent to icybreaky@gmail.com. You can clear browser localStorage yourself.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing. Use the Contact page for requests.

8. Children

The service is for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn we have, we delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date on this page.
